NDCPD ENDOWMENT

The NDCPD Endowment has been established to help meet the matching requirements and development needs of NDCPD as it grows. The Endowment is managed by the Minot State University Foundation and contributions to it are tax deductible.

The NDCPD provides educational experiences for college students going into disability fields, conducts research, provides ongoing training for those serving the disability community, and helps increase the availability of state-of-the-art services to people with disabilities who live in rural and isolated communities.

Over 95% of the funding for NDCPD activities comes from grants and contracts. Many of these funding sources require matching funds. The single largest limitation on NDCPD's ability to build the capacity of the disability community is the lack of available matching funds to attract new grants and contracts.

LEVERAGE
Faculty and staff at NDCPD have been successful at multiplying scant resources. Since 1996, NDCPD has obtained $12 for every dollar provided by Minot State University. These funds have expanded opportunities for college students, helped create new employment, educational, health, and recreation opportunities for people with disabilities, and helped build the capacity of the disability community to advocate for systems changes and community inclusion.

Interest in the endowment principle is used to support the development activities of NDCPD. Contributions to the NDCPD Endowment are tax deductable.
