Ashley Gilstad is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. She came to Minot on a softball scholarship where she was able to earn her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Communication Disorders in 2009. After completing her degree she returned home to complete with Team Canada for softball and sought out her athletic goals at an elite level. During that time she continued her passion for working with young children and gained valuable experiences. Specifically in an ABA facilitated program out of Winnipeg working in the homes with children ages 2-5 on the autism spectrum. She then returned to Minot where she met her husband, Clint, got married and had a beautiful son named Kathan in 2015. She is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education at MSU and is overjoyed to be joining the team as an Early Interventionist with the Minot Infant Development Program.
